2010 Digitas Summer Internship

2010 Digitas Summer Internship Program

What would the ideal internship be like? How about working for a global agency with clients that make their competitors drool? Or rubbing elbows with some of the coolest, most talented people in our industry? Welcome to the Digitas Summer Internship Program.

Who we want:

Put simply—pioneers. This program is not just for advertising students! We are less concerned with your major: it’s your prowess and attitude that really turns us on. We’re looking for creative thinkers, superb critical thinkers and people who are passionate about advertising. We want to use you for real client work— (gasp)—not grunt work.

Your role:

This program will be a growth experience—it’s all about you. That said, what you gain from these ten weeks will depend entirely on your energy, level of involvement and how hard you are willing to push yourself.

During the application process, you’ll be able to choose which department (we call them capabilities) to focus on during your time here: Account Planning, Creative, Marketing, Media, Project Management, and Strategy & Analysis. There will also be weekly training sessions which will give you exposure to the other capabilities and how they work together for our agency.

The perks:

While exploring our various departments, you’ll also participate in:

Word on the street:

We surveyed our 2009 interns after they completed the program, and here is what they had to say:

"Digitas gave me my first look at the flow of ideas and how they are fashioned and shaped into a campaign. It is impossible to fly an airplane by reading a book. I can say Digitas gave me my first hands-on flying lessons." (Guyen, Creative—Chicago)

"I think I might have actually hit the intern jackpot. So far it's been great people, exciting work and excellent perks!" (Francesca, Delivery Management—Boston)

"This experience has exceeded all of my expectations. I have been given an opportunity to not only learn about the company and the industry, but I’ve had the chance to work with great people and have fun at the same time." (Blair, Marketing—Atlanta)

"I really learned a lot about the advertising industry and got a chance to manage quality work. And, I had fun!" (Jen, Delivery Management—Detroit)

The fine print:

There's an App for that: If you were a Mobile App, which App would you be and why?
